Announcement: FTI Wins International Foundation Grant

We are so thrilled to share that we have been awarded a first time grant from the International Foundation to bolster our DEStudio Program. The International Foundation envisions a world in which active philanthropy measurably improves the lives of the poor and disadvantaged in developing world communities. They support organizations who partner with poor communities in the developing world to improve their health, education and incomes, while strengthening local capacity to sustain their benefits.

This grant will enable us to provide better support to DEStudio Members through workshops and networking opportunities, one-on-one mentoring, site visits, monitoring and evaluation, and proposal development. This grant is part of an active effort to shift more responsibilities to Malawi, where we will hire a Programme Manager who will take the lead on working with our highly qualified DEStudio Members.

We want to say a huge thank you to the International Foundation for believing in our work. With their support, Flame Tree Initiative will support social entrepreneurs to boost personal family incomes; improve nutrition, education and healthcare; and create jobs.
